An app about being present shouldn't be watching you. Here's exactly what we do and don't do with your information.
This Privacy Policy describes how Quality Time ("we," "us," or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application. By using Quality Time, you agree to the practices described here.
Quality Time is designed around the principle that we don't need to know much about you to help you. Specifically, we do not collect:
When you use Quality Time, the following information is stored locally on your iPhone:
This information stays on your device. It's not uploaded to our servers, and we have no way to see it.
Quality Time uses Apple's Family Controls and Screen Time APIs to offer gentle pauses on the apps you select. Apple deliberately designed these APIs so that the apps you choose are never revealed to us — not their names, not their icons, nothing. Only your device knows which apps you've selected. We just ask iOS to gently pause them during your scheduled windows.
If you email us at ynester.bs@gmail.com, we'll receive your email address and whatever you choose to share in your message. We use this information only to respond to you and to improve the app. We keep these emails as long as is reasonably useful for support purposes.
If Quality Time offers paid features, purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive aggregated, anonymous purchase information from Apple (for example, how many subscriptions were active in a given period). We don't receive your payment details, name, or Apple ID.
To manage or cancel a subscription, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you've opted in to share diagnostic data with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash reports to help us fix bugs. These reports do not contain personal information. You can change this setting anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Quality Time does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. We don't share your information with anyone because we don't have it to share.
Quality Time is intended for adults — typically parents who want to be more present with their families. The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Because almost everything stays on your device, you control your own data directly:
If you're in a region with data protection laws like GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California), you have the right to access, correct, or delete the limited information we have about you (essentially, your support emails). Contact us to exercise these rights.
If we ever change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we'll do our best to let you know inside the app before they take effect.
